Blue Jays Fall to Drabek and Padres, 4-3
|
The San Diego Padres scored a 4-3 win versus the Toronto Blue Jays at SkyDome. San Diego pitcher Doug Drabek nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The save went to Robb Nen, his 4th this season. San Diego now owns a record of 13-20.
Drabek's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing 3 hits. Drabek, who leads the UL with a 6 quality starts, goes to 5-1 on the year with 44 strikeouts.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Toronto manager Jose Mata, "let me know."
