Senators Win in Glorious Fashion
|
The Washington Senators got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Kevin Millwood, but it was good enough for the club to take a 4-3 decision over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Senators have an impressive 23-11 record.
Washington third baseman Willie Greene had a key at-bat for the Senators in the bottom of the ninth inning. Facing Arizona pitcher Danny Patterson, Greene drew a walk, driving in 1 run to make the score 4-3, Washington. For the day, he was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Greene said.
