6-2 Win by Expos Continues Hot Start
|
The Washington Senators got a superb performance from pitcher Chad Ogea, but the Montreal Expos still won the game, 6-2. Ogea was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Earning his 9th save for Montreal was Ken Howell. The Expos have an impressive 26-10 record.
Montreal used the bat of Jose Hernandez to get the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Expos ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hernandez told the Montreal Observer.
