Cardinals Lose, 5-3, at Milwaukee County Stadium

The Milwaukee Creams defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 5-3, in Federal League action at Milwaukee County Stadium, with Milwaukee pitcher Tommy Greene named player of the game. Picking up the save was Steve Bedrosian, his 5th. The Creams saw their record improve to 23-14.
Mark Loretta was vital part of the Milwaukee win. He went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. In the bottom of the fourth with no one out, Loretta hit a 2-run double. It made the score 3-2, in favor of the Creams.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Greene said.
