Orioles Beat Mets in 10
|
The Baltimore Orioles topped the New York Mets, 5-3, with right fielder Lyle Mouton playing a big role. Mouton went 4 for 5 with 4 singles for the Orioles in the win. Baltimore reliever Jeff Nelson picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Takehiro Ishii shouldered the loss. With the win, Baltimore has a record of 16-20. New York falls to 22-15.
An important at-bat for Baltimore came with one out in the top of the tenth. With a runner on 2nd, Mouton hit a run-scoring single, which contributed to the Orioles win.
"Feels good to get the job done," Mouton said after the game.
