Diamondbacks Prevail, 6-4, Over Oakland
|
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Moises Alou, the Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Oakland Athletics, 6-4. Alou was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Diamondbacks. Picking up the save was Danny Patterson, his 10th. The Diamondbacks improve their record to 17-21 with the win over Oakland.
Robin Ventura in the bottom of the fourth had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and the Diamondbacks trailing 3-0, the Arizona third baseman hit a 2-run single.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Ventura said.
