Extra-Inning Win by Cardinals over Creams
The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Milwaukee Creams, 6-5, at Milwaukee County Stadium today. Leading the charge for St. Louis was left fielder Steve Finley. He slugged 2 home runs. St. Louis reliever Steve Chitren was credited with the win, to go to 2-2. Steve Bedrosian took the loss for Milwaukee. The Cardinals bumped their record to 20-18 with this latest triumph.

One significant at-bat for St. Louis came with the bases empty in the top of the tenth. Cardinals right fielder Karim Garcia drew a walk, which helped St. Louis go on to win.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said St. Louis field general Adam Rabel.
