White Sox Endure 13-1 Beatdown
|
The Texas Rangers downed the Chicago White Sox, 13-1, at Comiskey Park. The Rangers were led by John Kruk, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 7. Texas now has a 3-game win streak.
Kruk provided the big break for the Rangers in the top of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam, helping Texas to get the win.
Kruk expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
