Expos Lose, 4-3, at RFK Stadium
|
Washington Senators starter John Burkett was in fine form against the Montreal Expos at RFK Stadium, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Washington is 24-13 and Montreal, with the loss, 27-11.
Washington took a 4-1 lead on Albert Belle's 41st hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Belle hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Montreal pitcher Jon Lieber shaking his head.
"Nothing fazes John," said Washington manager Alexander Cumana.
