Mike J Grace pitched a gem to lead New York to a 4-1 victory over the Cleveland Spiders. The Yankees, at 18-20, sit in third place in the Federal League East Division.
Darren Lewis was vital part of the New York win. He was 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the ninth with two out, Lewis hit a 2-run single. It made the score 4-1, in favor of the Yankees.
"Mike J is still learning," said Yankees manager Patrick McQuail. "The sky's the limit for him."
