Robinson, Knights Dispatch Twins
|
The Charlotte Knights got a stellar performance from pitcher Ron Robinson, who handcuffed the Minnesota offense en route to a 1-0 win at Metrodome. The Knights, now 18-22, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
Robinson, a native of Exeter, New Hampshire, was dealing all game. He kept Minnesota hitters off-balance, while giving the Knights 8 quality innings. Robinson threw 106 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 6.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Minnesota manager Darren Fischbach.
