Spiders Prove Rude Guests, Win 12-5 at Boston
The Cleveland Spiders downed the Boston Red Sox, 12-5, at Fenway Park. The Spiders were led by Darryl Strawberry, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Willie Banks locked down his 2nd save. The Spiders bumped their record to 20-19 with this latest triumph.

Cleveland needed the clutch hitting of Kevin Mitchell to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Spiders on top, 8-5. For the game, Mitchell had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
