Cubs Stymie Milwaukee, Take 4-1 Win
Chicago right-hander Eric King made an effective start against the Milwaukee Creams at Wrigley Field, leading his team to a 4-1 win. Frank DiPino sewed up the save, his 11th. The first-place Cubs have won 4 straight.

Jeff Cirillo was a prime factor in the win for the Cubs. In the bottom of the sixth with two out, the top prospect hit a 2-run double. He went 2 for 3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Cirillo told the Chicago Daily.
