Multi-HR Game for Harper in 8-3 Win
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Brian Harper, the Montreal Expos defeated the New York Mets, 8-3. Harper hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Expos. Montreal is now 29-11, 6 games up in the United League East Division.

Travis Fryman dealt the Mets a blow in the top of the sixth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Montreal leading 3-2, Fryman, who is on pace for 146 RBI this season, hit a 1-2 fastball for a 3-run home run.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Fryman told the Montreal Observer. "It's as simple as that."
