New York Mets starter Frank Castillo was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Montreal Expos, 4-3. The Mets bumped their record to 23-18 with this latest triumph.

Coming to the plate with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, New York pinch hitter Phil Nevin had a chance to be the hero. Facing Montreal pitcher Mike Jeffcoat with runners on 1st and 3rd, Nevin grounded out, driving in 1 run.

Castillo described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
