The Montreal Expos and Arizona Diamondbacks cranked it up at Bank One Ballpark.

Arizona Diamondbacks starter Scott Sanders was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Montreal Expos, 5-3. Arizona reliever Marvin Freeman was credited with the win, to go to 4-1. Ed Correa took the loss for Montreal.

Arizona grabbed a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth when Butch Huskey hit a 2-run single. For the day, Huskey went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.

Huskey called the triumph "a good team win."

The Diamondbacks, now 21-23, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
