New York Yankees starter Mark Langston turned in an exceptional performance against the Minnesota Twins at Metrodome, resulting in a New York win, 6-2. New York is now 17-26, Minnesota 19-25.
Mike Lieberthal broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the sixth with a run-scoring single. It put the Yankees in front, 2-1. For the game, Lieberthal went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs.
