Hitchcock Dazzles in Cleveland Win
|
The Cleveland Spiders got a stellar performance from pitcher Sterling Hitchcock, who handcuffed the Charlotte offense en route to a 5-1 win at Comiskey Park. Cleveland is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 5 games.
Hitchcock scattered 6 hits over 9 innings for the Spiders. With the win, Hitchcock moves to 1-0 on the year with 8 strikeouts.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Cleveland manager Wilson Ogle. "Our pregame was pretty good."
