The Charlotte Knights went home winners at Comiskey Park, thanks in large part to starter Erik Hanson. Hanson silenced the New York Yankees, enabling Charlotte to grab the 4-1 win. In 6.1 innings, Hanson surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The Knights, now 23-24, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

Chuck Knoblauch had a productive at-bat for the Knights with one out in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, the second baseman hit a sacrifice fly. The at-bat was important in the Charlotte win.

"We put together a nice win," Knoblauch said.
