Colorado Get 1-0 Win Behind Lefty Schilling
|
Curt Schilling was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Colorado and Montreal. The Rockies right-hander was named the player of the game in Colorado's 1-0 win. Joey Eischen nailed down his 9th save. Montreal has now lost 4 straight.
Schilling was in the zone all game. He frustrated Montreal hitters while giving the Rockies 7.1 innings of quality work. Schilling threw 101 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 8 punchouts.
"Enjoyed this one," Schilling told the Colorado News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
