Multi-HR Game for Reimer in 11-4 Win
|
The Atlanta Braves and Chicago White Sox cranked it up at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium.
With first baseman Kevin Reimer leading the charge, the Chicago White Sox defeated the Atlanta Braves, 11-4, at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. Reimer went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. LaMarr Hoyt got the win, improving to 1-9. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 0.
Reimer had a key at-bat for Chicago early in the game. With the bases empty, he hit a solo home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and gave Chicago an early 1-0 lead.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Reimer. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
Even with the win, the White Sox have a dismal 11-37 record.
