New York first baseman Don Mattingly was instrumental in helping the Yankees triumph, 6-5, over the Minnesota Twins. Mattingly was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. David Cone recorded the save, his 2nd. New York is now 23-25, while Minnesota is 25-24.
