Pirates Walk It Off for 29th Win of Season
The Pittsburgh Pirates eked out a 4-3 win versus the Chicago White Sox at Three Rivers Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Chris Nabholz, who captured player of the game honors. The Pirates bumped their record to 29-19 with this latest triumph.

Tony Gwynn, the Pittsburgh right fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth inning to make the score 4-3, Pirates. For the game, Gwynn was 1 for 5.

"Winning is contagious," said Gwynn. "We're looking forward to the next game."
