Alou Stars for Diamondbacks in 7-3 Win
The Arizona Diamondbacks grabbed a 7-3 win over the Detroit Tigers at Bank One Ballpark. Arizona first baseman Moises Alou went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 to earn player of the game honors. Miguel Batista, credited with the win, is now 4-1. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in 6.1 innings. The Diamondbacks bumped their record to 26-24 with this latest triumph.

The Diamondbacks got a big at-bat from designated hitter Bobby M Estalella. For the game, Estalella went 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 9th double of the season gave Arizona a 4-3 lead.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Estalella.
