Los Angeles Loses Again
|
New York Mets starter Bob Milacki pitched well against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium, leading his team to a win, 5-3. Milacki picked up the win for New York, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 3-5. Rick Aguilera recorded the save, his 10th.
New York used a big swing from Bret Boone to get the win. The second baseman walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Mets up, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Los Angeles skipper Andrew Cole.
Their 21-29 record puts the Mets 5th in the United League East Division.
