Cordova Helps Washington Cruise to 10-0 Win
Spirited fans at Mile High Stadium greeted the Colorado Rockies for their clash with the Washington Senators.

A 3-RBI performance from first baseman Marty Cordova led the Washington Senators to a 10-0 win over the Colorado Rockies. The Senators own a robust 31-18 mark.

In the top of the first, Washington designated hitter Albert Belle had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and two out, Belle stroked a 2-run home run to left. It made the score 2-0, Washington. For the game, he went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Cordova. "And not try to do too much."
