Rockies Get Road Win, 4-1
|
Colorado Rockies starter Orel Hershiser was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Montreal Expos, 4-1. Robb Nen earned his 2nd save in 2 tries. With the loss, Montreal sinks to 2-2.
It could have been a different outcome for Colorado, had it not been for Juan Gonzalez, the former first round draft pick . Gonzalez contributed a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put Colorado up, 2-0.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Colorado manager JD Morris. "Our pregame was pretty good."
