Orioles Come Up Short at Los Angeles
|
It was a fun time at Dodger Stadium, where the Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Dodgers tangled.
Getting an impressive start from Ramiro Mendoza, Los Angeles beat Baltimore by the score of 2-1. Mendoza, now 4-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. Ricardo Rincon sewed up the save, his 6th.
Torii Hunter's at-bat in the bottom of the fifth inning was a big one for Los Angeles. Coming to bat with two out, a runner on 1st and Los Angeles trailing 1-0, the center fielder hit a 2-run home run.
"It was a good effort all around," said Mendoza.
At 24-25, Los Angeles is in 4th place in the United League West Division.
