Creams Score Late, Stun Yankees, 6-3
|
Milwaukee designated hitter Ken Caminiti was instrumental in his team's 6-3 win over the New York Yankees. Caminiti, who finished 2nd in the FL in RBI with 135 in 1994, went 3-4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Creams. The win was credited to Rob Murphy in relief. His record improves to 6-0. Jose Mesa took the loss. The losses continue to mount for New York, which has now dropped 8 in a row.
Rey Sanchez contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the eighth. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat that helped Milwaukee get the win.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Creams manager Sean Norman, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
