Red Sox Lose, 4-1, at Busch Stadium
St. Louis starter Francisco Cordova pitched effectively against the Boston Red Sox at Busch Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. St. Louis has a mark of 3-3 after the win.

Steve Finley had a big grand slam home run for the Cardinals in the bottom of the fifth inning. With St. Louis trailing 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Rosario Rodriguez and stroked the home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cardinals ahead, 4-1.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Cordova said after the game.
