Castilla Slugs Cubs to 4-1 Win
|
The Chicago Cubs dealt the Florida Marlins a 4-1 loss at Joe Robbie Stadium. Vinny Castilla was the star on offense. He went 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The save was Frank DiPino's, his 15th. With the win, Chicago has a record of 29-24. Florida falls to 34-20.
Castilla came through with some timely hitting for Chicago. With the score 1-1 in the top of the third and two down, Castilla hit a 0-2 fastball for a 2-run home run. His 14th home run of the season made it 3-1, Chicago.
