Blue Jays Rally For Late Win Over Rockies
|
Toronto beat Colorado at SkyDome, eking out a 2-1 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Zane Smith, who earned player of the game honors. The Blue Jays have now won 5 straight.
Toronto took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out, left fielder Jeffrey Hammonds hit a 2-run home run that fired up the crowd.
"It was a good effort all around," said Smith.
