Toronto starter Jeff D. Robinson pitched effectively against the Los Angeles Dodgers at SkyDome. The right-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. The Blue Jays bumped their record to 27-26 with this latest triumph.

In the bottom of the fifth, Lance Johnson had a big 2-run home run off Ugueth Urbina. With the home run, the Toronto center fielder put his team in front, 2-0. He was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the contest.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Johnson said.
