Sierra Delivers Walk-Off Win for White Sox
|
The Chicago White Sox defeated the Minnesota Twins, 6-4. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Frank Thomas, who hit 2 home runs. Chicago has 3 straight wins, Minnesota 3 straight losses.
The White Sox got a big at-bat from left fielder Ruben Sierra. For the game, Sierra went 1-6 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the 13th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Chicago a 6-4 lead.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Sierra said.
