Expos Get Close Win Over Blue Jays
The Montreal Expos got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Pedro Martinez, but it was good enough for the club to take a 4-3 decision over the Toronto Blue Jays. Montreal is now 36-20, while Toronto is 28-27.

Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, Montreal third baseman Leo Gomez hit a solo home run, helping his team get the win.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Gomez.
