Extra-Inning Win by Athletics over Padres

The Oakland Athletics did just enough to sneak past the San Diego Padres, 5-4, at Jack Murphy Stadium. Oakland pitcher Bobby M Jones earned player of the game honors. Oakland is now 23-32, San Diego 20-34.
It could have been a different outcome for Oakland, had it not been for Greg Litton, the 32-year old shortstop . Litton contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning to put Oakland up, 5-4.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Litton. "And not try to do too much."
