Multi-HR Game for Williams in 8-1 Win
The Cincinnati Reds topped the Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 8-1, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Bernie Williams. Williams was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Reds. The Reds bumped their record to 34-24 with this latest triumph.

Cincinnati took a 3-1 lead on Williams's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Guy Hoffman in the top of the eighth, propelled Cincinnati to the win.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Cincinnati skipper Eric Deutsch.
