Both teams had their chances, but the Minnesota Twins eventually prevailed at Wrigley Field.

In a low-scoring clash between Minnesota and Chicago, pitcher Pedro Astacio was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Minnesota in the 2-1 win. Minnesota now has a 3-game win streak.

It could have been a different outcome for Minnesota, had it not been for Brent Gates, the 27-year old second baseman . Gates contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put Minnesota up, 2-1.

"Against this team here, fangs out late in the game, it's nice to beat them," said Minnesota skipper Darren Fischbach.
