The 1995 season is getting ugly for Baltimore.

Washington got an elite performance from starting pitcher Andy Pettitte in taking a 4-1 decision over the Baltimore Orioles. Earning his 5th save of the year was Lee Smith.

Pettitte earned the win to move to 4-2. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 2 hits, striking out 8 and walking 2. The left-hander allowed the Orioles few scoring opportunities.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Pettitte said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

With the win, the Senators have a record of 28-29.
