Senators Come Back Late, Nip Orioles
|
Washington rode a decent outing from starter John Burkett to victory over the Baltimore Orioles at RFK Stadium. The final score was 5-4. The Senators bumped their record to 29-29 with this latest triumph.
Making an impact for the home team was Alex Rodriguez. In the bottom of the ninth, the 1994 Rookie of the Year winner had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 5-4, Senators.
"This was a good win," said Burkett.
