Johnson Helps Blue Jays Beat Senators
Toronto center fielder Lance Johnson made his presence felt in the 11-6 Blue Jays triumph over the Washington Senators. Johnson went 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Hipolito Pichardo, credited with the win, is now 8-3. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 5 innings. With the victory, the Blue Jays record now stands at 30-29.

It could have been a different outcome for Toronto, had it not been for Hector Villanueva, the 32-year old catcher . Villanueva contributed a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put Toronto up, 10-3.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Johnson.
