Blue Jays Walk Off with 2-1 Win
Toronto starter John Smiley put a stranglehold on the San Francisco offense. The left-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Blue Jays to a 2-1 win. Toronto reliever Antonio Osuna picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-1. Xavier Hernandez was collared with the loss. The first-place Giants have lost 4 consecutive games.

Hector Villanueva was the walk-off hero for Toronto. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blue Jays catcher hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"Both teams played hard," said Toronto manager Jose Mata.
