Tigers Continue Skid Thanks to Conine, Padres
The San Diego Padres stymied the Detroit Tigers, 4-2, at Tiger Stadium. Jeff Conine, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for San Diego. Ismael Valdez was the winner.
