Montreal beat Seattle on the strength of starter Pedro Martinez's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Martinez went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 6-4. Seattle, at 33-28, has lost 4 straight.
