Los Angeles Get 3-0 Win Behind Lefty Maddux
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Greg Maddux, who kept New York hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Dodgers win at Dodger Stadium. The 4th-place Dodgers improved to 30-31.
Maddux earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Los Angeles. The native of San Angelo, Texas allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 10. New York hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Maddux said.
