The Expos used some clutch hitting to beat the Pilots, a good example being the at-bat of Raul Mondesi in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, Mondesi gave his team the lead, 2-1, when he hit a 2-run home run.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Guthrie said.
