Kile Dazzles in Minnesota Win
|
The Minnesota Twins got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Darryl Kile, but it was good enough for the club to take a 4-0 decision over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Twins sit in 5th place in the Federal League Central Division with a record of 28-35.
Kile earned the win, going 7.1 strong innings for Minnesota. The native of Garden Grove, California allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 7. Pittsburgh hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Kile said.
