Multi-HR Day for Strawberry as Spiders Overpower Twins, 7-4
Cleveland and Minnesota duked it out at Metrodome and the Spiders came out victorious.

Darryl Strawberry was instrumental in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Minnesota Twins. The designated hitter was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Cleveland Spiders. Cleveland reliever Carlos Perez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Pedro Astacio absorbed the loss.

Cleveland used the timely hitting of Howard Johnson to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Spiders ahead, 7-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Johnson. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The win gives Cleveland a record of 3-4.
