Gooden Lays Hammer Down in 4-2 Win
|
Baltimore right-hander Dwight Gooden made an effective start against the San Diego Padres at Memorial Stadium, leading his team to a 4-2 win. The Orioles sit in 5th place in the United League East Division with a record of 23-40.
Gooden pitched a complete game for Baltimore. The 30-year-old right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 13 during his 119-pitch performance.
