Cardinals Get Past Cleveland for 7-6 Win
The St. Louis Cardinals overcame a good performance by Cleveland left fielder Darryl Strawberry to knock off Cleveland, 7-6, at Busch Stadium. Strawberry went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. St. Louis, now 3-5, is off to a slow start.

Dickie Thon was the walk-off hero for St. Louis. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cardinals second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Cleveland manager Will Henderson. "The effort was great."
