Blue Jays Score Late to Upend Dodgers, 4-3
The Blue Jays faced a stiff challenge from Los Angeles pitcher Greg Maddux, but persevered to claim a win at Dodger Stadium. The final score was 4-3. Maddux went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Toronto reliever Curt Brown got the win, raising his record to 3-2. Ricardo Rincon was tagged with the loss. Steve Shirley, credited with the save, is now 10 for 11 in save opportunities.

This game was not decided until Mark McGwire came to bat in the top of the ninth. With the bases loaded and two out, the Toronto designated hitter drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Blue Jays took the lead, 4-3.

"This was a good win," said McGwire.
