Hickerson Dominant in Toronto Win
|
The Toronto Blue Jays got a strong performance from pitcher Bryan Hickerson, who stymied the Baltimore offense en route to a 4-1 win at Memorial Stadium. The Blue Jays bumped their record to 34-33 with this latest triumph.
Hickerson earned the win, going 8.1 strong innings for Toronto. The left-hander allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 9. Baltimore hitters had little success against him.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Blue Jays manager Jose Mata, "I like our chances."
